The story is told through letters and local newspaper accounts, providing a great learning experience and new storytelling devices for children. Illustrations by Mark Teague use "split-screen" visuals and hilariously portray the escapades of the dog who would be mayor.
This book is yet another fun, light-hearted, child-appropriate way to explain the campaign process to kids during the presidential election season. It is also a beautiful work of art and fabulous addition to the family library.
